Small Two-axis Thread Rolling Machine

Small Two-axis Thread Rolling Machine is a common metalworking machine used to process metal materials into thread shapes. Its processing principle is to compress and deform the metal material on the workpiece surface through the relative motion between the rolling tool and the workpiece, thus forming a thread.

Compared to other thread manufacturing methods, thread rolling machines offer the following advantages:

1) high processing efficiency, 20-30 times more efficient than torque tightening methods;

2) strong, uniform, and highly precise threads; and

3) compatibility with a variety of workpiece materials, including steel, copper, and aluminum. Furthermore, thread rolling machines offer low cost and high material utilization.

The sliding base plate is thickened, with the thickness increased by about 40% compared to the original, making it more stable and durable. The top part is made of ductile iron casting. The sliding track uses tapered strips and a dovetail structure, making the slide rail more stable and durable during operation.

This tool uses a worm gear to adjust the stroke, which can achieve fine adjustment of the thread depth during workpiece processing. The handwheel only adjusts 0.2mm with one full rotation, while the original one adjusted 3-6mm with one rotation, a difference of 15-30 times in adjustment accuracy. The adjustment of the mold distance is very rough, and if the thread depth is slightly different, it is difficult to adjust. Either it is adjusted too deep and the material bounces up, or it is adjusted too shallow and it is difficult to tighten the nut.

The original 39mm diameter return rod with spring was replaced with an 80mm diameter double-acting hydraulic cylinder piston rod. The original rod was prone to breakage when performing heavy lifting or prolonged tasks, posing a safety hazard if someone was standing near the machine and could be injured. The improved model eliminates this issue of return rod breakage.

The hydraulic structure is bidirectional hydraulic, with high pressure for forward movement and low pressure for reverse movement during operation. Both forward and reverse movements are hydraulically controlled, achieving separation of high and low pressure, protecting the equipment, and reducing oil temperature. The hydraulic system is the same as that of the Z28-200, Z28-260, and Z28-280 large thread rolling machines, making it more stable and durable.
